Yipply — Privacy Policy

Pet sound translation runs on your device. The core bark/meow analysis and translation logic runs locally — pet audio is not uploaded to translate it.

What Yipply collects

Advertising data (AdMob): Yipply shows ads via Google AdMob, which collects your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and usage data to show and measure ads. You'll be asked for App Tracking Transparency permission — you can decline and still use the app.
Speech recognition (You-talk mode): When you use the "You talk" mode, your speech may be processed by your device's or Apple's/Google's speech recognition service to convert it to text. You can always use the tap-to-translate shortcuts instead, which never use the microphone.
Crash & performance diagnostics (Sentry): Anonymous crash reports and performance data are collected to help us fix bugs. This does not include your photos, recordings, or translation content.
Purchases: Handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. Yipply does not see your payment details.

What Yipply does NOT do

Audio you use to translate a pet is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers — we don't have servers for this. Your saved translation history stays on your device only.

Your choices

You can decline App Tracking Transparency at any time in iOS Settings. Upgrading to Yipply Pro removes all ads and their associated data collection.

Entertainment only

Yipply's translations are playful guesses for entertainment. It is not a scientific, veterinary, or diagnostic tool.
